CIT University Peer Learning Center
CIT University Peer Learning Center had its soft opening last Friday, January 14, 2011 at Room 327 of the main building of Cebu Institute of Technology - University.
Vice President for Administration John Gregory B. Escario and MIS/SPS Director Engr. Bernard Nicolas E. Villamor initiated the opening of the said learning center. Together with student leaders from recognized student organizations, peer mentors from Honors' Society, some CITAA Scholars, student volunteers and members of CIT Community, the center is now ready to accept students who wished to be tutored in their basic mathematics such as algebra and trigonometry.

Since 2008, this is the first peer tutorial program supported by the CIT Administration. The Peer Learning Center has books/references basically talking about Mathematics and its related branches. The center is also provided with 2 computer units aided with an E-Learning software ready to provide students inputs in a more technological way.
The Peer Learning Center (Room 327 of the Main Building) is open from Mondays to Fridays, 8:30AM-5:30PM and Saturdays from 8:30AM-11:30AM .
A meeting was called few days before the closing of classes last month. Engr. Villamor presented to the officers of the Honors' Society how will peer learning be accommodated in CIT. Also, Mathemics Chair Engr. Boy Jakosalem and Math Department faculty member Madame Esplanada provided the officers with premises that makes officers more enticed in the student-oriented program. The program is also in line with Honors' Society's prime major service - peer tutorials.
